Grappling with the repercussions of the pandemic, schools have been faced with the challenge of conducting safe and secure examinations. The problem is compounded by modern realities that require social distancing and protection masks for test takers which can make concentrating and focusing difficult. In this monograph, we have brought to the fore the concept of online examinations as an answer to the concern around student safety during examinations. Capabilities of online assessments have been presented in light of maintaining examination integrity and reasons for its adoption have been explored. As educational institutions at large, deal with their own modalities, sharing examination responsibility with online service providers could prove to be of great benefit.
