Industrial Training Centre (ITC)

Most companies rely on their internal staff for virtually all of their training development and delivery needs. For these companies, the success of their training initiatives depends solely upon the knowledge and skills of those responsible for training. These individuals may often lack the skills necessary for the development of curriculum, content delivery, and the administration and management of the overall training plan. Because training programs are often part of a larger organizational initiative that is strategic in nature, it is critical that the programs be not just properly planned but also implemented and managed well.

Eduvisors Industrial Training Centre (ITC) team can help our clients in the selection, delivery and management of their technical and skills training programs. We provide the employees of our clients the skills they need to successfully introduce an organizational training plan that is aligned with the strategic vision of the organisation.

Whether our client is implementing an incentive-based pay-for-skills program, apprenticeship training, cross-training, or some other training initiative, Eduvisors ITC team helps address the unique training needs. Our training experts support the efforts of our clients by temporarily augmenting their existing training team or through a longer-term outsourced services model. Either way, we help our clients plan their technical skills and safety training needs, select an appropriate delivery method, and manage their training initiative from a long term perspective.

Eduvisors ITC team provides a full range of consulting services. We have a diverse array of talented training professionals, in-house and as a part of our talent network, that specialize in industrial skills training and development. Our experts ensure that our clients get the most out of their people and their training and development investments.

Here are a few ways our ITC group helps our clients:

At Eduvisors we confront each challenge sans any preconceived notion; our solutions are based on facts rather than opinions.

Training Needs Analysis

The most important step in planning industrial and technical training program is to determine exactly what skills training is required. The training must focus on the critical knowledge and skills the employees need to meet their performance goals. We recommend that our clients also need to build on the knowledge and skill foundation that already exists to make sure they avoid expending resources on unnecessary training activities. Finally, we believe that our clients must develop a comprehensive training plan to ensure that every training activity focuses on your performance priorities, and no critical requirements are overlooked. Eduvisors ITC helps our clients identify and cover such requirement in the following ways.

Training Needs Analysis

Eduvisors ITC provides a comprehensive survey tool that covers hundreds of core knowledge areas for maintenance positions. The survey is completed in a couple of hours by a few members of the workforce.

As part of this effort, we analyze the results and give our clients a detailed report of their core knowledge priorities, and identify specific Technical Skills courses that cover those knowledge priorities. This enables our clients organization to have the essential core knowledge training component of their training program up and running in a short period of time.

Job Task Analysis

Our Job Task Analysis identifies the knowledge and skill requirements specific to the plant systems, equipment, and processes. Our training consultants interview client’s key people, and review their systems, equipment, processes, and documentation.

Our findings are provided in a detailed report that identifies critical tasks, knowledge, and skills required for specific operations, along with training recommendations to meet those requirements.

If desired and optionally, we also evaluate the internal procedures and documentation and provide recommendations for improvement.

Knowledge and Skill Assessments

Once our clients define the job knowledge and skill requirements, they need to know what knowledge and skills already exist so they can build on that foundation. We create objective Knowledge Assessments that focus precisely on your core and plant-specific requirements for each job position. And the thousands of time-tested assessment items we already have in our database allow us to create Knowledge Assessments quickly and cost-effectively.

Our training consultants also help our clients conduct hands-on Skill Assessments for every job position, and every critical skill. We create detailed, easy-to-use Job Skill Checklists that our clients use to evaluate skills according to their own criteria. We even train personnel in how to administer the Skill Assessments. In addition, we administer the Skills Assessments ourselves and report the results to our clients.

Training Plan Development

We help our clients integrate the Level One and Two Analysis, and the Job Knowledge and Skill Assessments into a comprehensive Training Plan that identifies all of the workforce training and development needs. This provides the client organization with a detailed roadmap for training program implementation and management. With a Training Plan from Eduvisors ITC, our clients are rest assured that every training activity focuses on their performance priorities and that no critical requirement is overlooked.

Custom Course Development

Eduvisors Industrial Training Centre (ITC) has developed high quality, highly effective plant-specific training courses for years. Our Training Consultants, Designers, and Developers are experienced in every type of industrial training application and in helping our clients comply with various international frameworks and regulatory requirements specific to India. We are especially skilled at helping our clients benefit from the best practices and lessons learned from specific industry while maintaining our focus on any unique needs for client organization.

Whether our clients need hands-on skills training, a qualification program, classroom training, self-study, or interactive, we have the experience to develop the plant-specific training program that’s exactly right for our clients and their people. Here are a few ways we help our clients.

Knowledge and Skill Assessments

We create objective Knowledge Assessments that focus on plant-specific knowledge requirements. We also create detailed Job Skill Checklists that our clients use to evaluate critical job skills according to their own criteria. With our assessments our clients know exactly what their people know, what they are able to do, and where they need to improve.

Classroom Training

We provide our clients with all the instructional, presentation, and supporting materials for plant-specific classroom training requirements – from instructor guides and lesson plans to student guides, reference materials, visual presentations, wall charts/posters and more. Everything our clients need for a complete classroom learning environment.

Self-Study Training

We create plant-specific training materials in a self-study format so the students train when and where it is most convenient. We organize specific content according to proven self-study learning principles and include all the visual aids, progress-checks and remediation the students need to master the content and meet desired performance requirements.

We put all our expertise to work to develop plant-specific training in interactive formats for on-line delivery with CD-ROMs, on local or wide area network, or via the Intranet. We even adapt the existing training materials, presentations, and documentation for on-line delivery.

Skills Training and Qualification

No training program is complete until our clients know that their people can apply their skills on the job and meet their performance qualification requirements. We create hands-on skills training and qualification materials that our clients’ people use on the job to develop their skills and verify that their qualification standards are met.

Documentation Development

The plant operations and maintenance performance depends to a great extent on the quality of the documentation available – the operations and maintenance procedures, and the system, equipment, and process documentation. The quality of training also depends on the quality of documentation.

Eduvisors Industrial Training Centre (ITC) has been at the forefront of helping its clients with their critical procedure and documentation needs for years. Our Consultants and Technical Specialists are highly experienced in meeting international frameworks, guidelines and other regulatory requirements, and are especially skilled at helping our clients benefit from best practices and lessons learned from throughout industry. We help our clients:

  • Analyze systems, workflow, processes, and existing documentation, to determine specific areas for improvement or development.
  • Apply approved Job Task Analysis information to ensure that the procedures and documentation reflect the most current plant-specific practices.
  • Define procedure and documentation format, content, scope, and review and approval processes to meet the specific requirements.
  • Write the procedures and documentation according to clients approved standards and criteria.

If our clients need to upgrade their existing documentation, or if they need to create documentation for a new process unit or production line, we have got the experience and the resources to get the job done.

Eduvisors Industrial Training Centre (ITC) has delivered industrial operations and maintenance training products to the mining and steel, petroleum, petrochemical, power generation, automobiles and auto components, pulp & paper, utilities, consumer goods, and food processing industries.

During our years of experience, many clients have used our Training Needs Analysis to implement highly successful technical skills training programs. These programs are customised precisely to the needs of their plants/facilities and maintenance workforce. We have taken this valuable intellectual capital derived from the outcome of these analyses and organized them into essential trade-specific training curricula. Each curriculum includes those courses most frequently selected by our client organizations to meet the performance goals for their maintenance technicians.

The recommended curricula offers our clients a proven, industry-validated starting point for planning their own training programs. We recognize that – although these recommended curricula can provide a much needed jump start – not every organization has the same training requirements. Thus, Eduvisors ITC helps our clients fine-tune their training program to address the unique requirements of their workforce using our Training Needs Analysis process. It is simple, accurate, and generally takes only a few days to complete. Each curriculum covers all of the subject matter ranging from the fundamental knowledge required by an entry-level technician to advanced competencies for senior personnel.

Eduvisors ITC’s Technical Skills experience is comprises a broad range of topics; from fundamental competencies such as electrical and mechanical systems, to specific competencies such as air conditioning, refrigeration and welding.
